History
We are a local congregation founded in the year 2007 in the Archdiocese of Kisumu,
following our Seraphic Father St. Francis under the patronage of Jesus the Good Shepherd.
The congregation's humble beginnings were marked by the establishment of a rented house
in Migosi Estate within Kisumu City, which served as our first novitiate.

He is the first African Bishop in the Archdiocese of Kisumu and the founder
of two other congregations: the Our Lady of Perpetual Help for Brothers and
the Franciscan Missionaries of Hope, Awasi.

We are established in Kisumu (St. Monica), St. Francis (Riwo), Koru, Muhoroni, Siaya, and currently in Yogo.
Spirituality
We, the Franciscan Sisters of the Good Shepherd, follow the footsteps of St. Francis of Assisi,

As a congregation, we strive to work diligently at all times.
